5. Clear clogged shower heads
Mineral deposits and pipe sediment can clog your shower head, causing weak, uneven sprays or water shooting in odd directions. Notice gunk on the nozzles? Here’s an easy fix:
- Fill a plastic bag with white vinegar — enough to fully cover the shower head.
- Secure the bag around the nozzle with a rubber band or twist tie.
- Let it soak for 1–2 hours, or overnight for stubborn buildup.
- Remove the bag and run water to flush out debris.
- Use a toothbrush to scrub away any remaining residue.
If your shower head stays clogged or you need to remove it, be cautious — improper handling can damage the finish. Need expert help? Contact us

8. Breathe better this summer
Your HVAC system works hard in summer — but dirty air ducts can make it harder. If your ducts are filled with dust, pet dander or mold spores, they could be spreading allergens and odors through your home. Get Dwell’s professional air duct cleaners clear out the buildup, helping your home smell fresher, reduce surface dust and improve indoor air quality. Plus, during the cleaning process, our trained technicians inspect for leaks, rust, loose connections and insulation issues — problems that could be hurting your system’s efficiency. Breathe easier and stay cooler all season long. Request an air duct cleaning estimate

9. Control the glow
Smart light bulbs give you full control from your phone or voice assistant — whether you’re across the room or across the country. Set timers, routines, or motion triggers so lights turn on and off automatically, saving energy and adding serious convenience. Use “away” modes to make your home look lived-in while you’re gone, deterring intruders and offering peace of mind for anyone coming home late.
Need help getting started? Stop by your local, family-owned hardware store — they’ll walk you through the latest smart lighting tech and help you find the right setup for your home.
